Havering Therapy Centre was established by Gill Felus in 1974 and moved to our current location in 1985 making us one of the longest established clinics in the area. The clinic has recently been taken over by Graham and Christina Holman, who have worked at the clinic since 2006 and 2012.  The clinic has evolved over the years to now include Podiatry, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Acupuncture and Paediatric Physiotherapy.

All our Physiotherapists and Podiatrists are members of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

We offer a professional, caring, holistic approach to your problems. All our practitioners are highly qualified and experienced in their particular disciplines and where appropriate will work together for the benefit of their patients in an honest and friendly manner.

Our experienced reception team are on hand to answer any queries and you can often speak to a Physio or Podiatrist for advice if you are unsure which treatment is right for you. We have an answerphone on 24 hours a day. Home visits can be organised if required.

New procedures for Covid-19

All new Physiotherapy appointments at the clinic since the lockdown closure will require the treating Physiotherapist to contact the patient prior to the appointment to perform a Virtual Assessment.  This is to establish the reason for the appointment and whether there is a clear and obvious need to perform a face to face assessment and treatment.  The Physiotherapist may decide at this stage that your problem could be managed over the phone (remotely) and will discuss this with you.  In this instance there is no charge.

If the Physiotherapist decides to proceed with a face to face appointment, then the appointment you will have provisionally booked when calling the clinic will go ahead.

When attending the clinic please wear a face covering and be prepared to wait outside the clinic (or in your vehicle) until 5 minutes prior to your appointment.  Once you enter the clinic you will be asked to sanitise your hands and the receptionist will take your temperature with an infra-red (contactless) thermometer to check for fever.  If you do not have a face covering we are able to provide one for you.  If you present with a high temperature then we will not be able to see you and your appointment will be cancelled (no charge).  If you are new to the clinic then the receptionist will ask you to complete our registration form.

At your appointed time you will be called through by your treating Physiotherapist who will be wearing a face mask, visor/goggles, apron and gloves.  Your session will then continue as normal.  Upon completion of your session you may be asked to wait in the cubicle until the reception area is clear of other patients to ensure safe social distancing can take place.

We would be grateful where possible for patients to make payment by card, preferably contactless, if possible.

Should you have any questions about our new procedure then please ask the receptionist or Physiotherapist, or feel free to email us.
